Laboratories


There are spacious laboratories for mathematics, science, psychology, social studies, art and drama and educational technology. All the laboratories are well equipped to carry out experiments and develop various skills in the trainee teachers.

Science Laboratory

The trainees conduct experiments in physical science and biological science on topics related to the secondary school syllabus. They develop working models, portable kits and improvised apparatus in the laboratory.

Mathematics Laboratory

‘Collaborative spaces for creative learning’: Mathematics laboratory provides the prospective teachers a treasure trove of study experiences and knowledge in analyzing and working on and around mathematical concepts and ideas.The college mathematics laboratory is equipped with several attractive and attention-grabbing materials such as colorful wooden geometric kits, abacus kits,tangrams, geoboards, mathematic charts, algebra cubes, glaze papers for cut and paste activities, graph sheets, time and work kits, working models of mathematical concepts. Student teachers are trained to manage and engage children through these activities in discovery and problem solving.

Psychology Laboratory

The psychology laboratory is well equipped with various paper pencil and performance psychological testsfor assessing a person’s aptitude,personality, interestetc. The students are exposed to the procedure of conducting these tests and interpreting the results.

Social Studies Laboratory

The Social Studies Laboratory is well equipped with maps, charts, globes, specimen and meteorological instruments, students develop cartography skills and learn to make teaching aids, Social Studies kits and working models.

Education Technology Laboratory

The laboratory has an LCD Projector,computers with multimedia and internet facility, equipment for English language lab. etc. The students prepare digital lesson plans, power point presentations, etc.in the lab.The English lab. offers the students a structured e- learning environment to practice English in an entertaining and interactive way to acquire language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Arts and Crafts Resource Center

The art and craft activities help in developing creativity and innovativeness in the teachers. They learn to make greeting cards, decorative items, bags, candles, etc using low cost material.
