CODE OF ETHICS

Plagiarism policy: In order to prevent plagiarism and promote academic integrity, GACE maintains strict policy with regards to the research work carried out by the staff and students. The research work carried out by the college faculty or students has to be based on their original ideas and should not be copied from anywhere. The work submitted should include an abstract with keywords, introduction, objectives, hypotheses, research methodology, analysis and interpretation, summary and observations, conclusions, recommendations and references.

As per UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2017, studentsand faculty members should not perform any academic misconduct by the theft of intellectual property in any manner. Therefore, the proper attribution, seeking permission of the author wherever necessary, acknowledgement of source has to be in accordance with rules and regulations.

The institution ensures that the documents submitted by students, faculty and staff are free of plagiarism. Every student/ faculty submitting a dissertation/ research article, chapter, etc, has to submit an undertaking indicating that the document has been prepared by him or her and that the document is his/her original work and free of any plagiarism.

The similarity check for plagiarism excludes the following:

● All quoted work reproduced with all necessary permission and/or attribution.

● All references, bibliography, table of content, preface and acknowledgements.

● All generic terms, laws, standard symbols and standards equations.

The mechanism established and prescribed in the above code is to enhance the awareness about responsible conduct of research and academic activities, to promote academic integrity and to prevent plagiarism.

Integrity makes researchers engage in honest and transparent practices while conducting the research. Justice encourages fair practices and prevents unjust practices, such as bias in research. Respect for people's rights and dignity regards individuals' rights while also acknowledging the individual worth. These ethical principles are carefully followed in the entire research process
