Research Cell

A Research Cell is created to harness the research capacity of students and faculty members of a college. It aims at bringing awareness among students about the innovative practices taking place in the research world. This cell facilitates students in undertaking dissertation as a part of their course and assists students and faculty members to publish the research work they do, in UGC approved journals. Apart from this, the cell endeavors to organize Academic Writing workshops to hone the writing and analytical skills of students as well as encourages faculty members and students alike to take up research projects on contemporary, local, national, and international issues.

Research work at college

Ghulam Ahmed College of Education, through the Research Cell, provides a chance to students, both M.Ed. as well as B.Ed., to delve into the ocean of research.

At M.Ed. level, students are assisted by the allotted mentors from the faculty from the inception to the completion of their monograph work. Students are provided with required guidance to explore and excel at each stage of their dissertation. They are also assisted in preparation of Research Proposal and Reporting of Research Findings as per the American Psychological Association (APA) format. Apart from this, they are also mentored in presenting the Research Proposal and facing the viva voce.

Whereas, at B.Ed. level students are trained in planning, identifying, acting, observing, and reflecting a local problem, such as a particular classroom environment, as a part of their Action Research project.Throughout the research process, support is provided to them by their mentors. Once the students come up with different classroom problems, they are encouraged to reflect on their findings and causes of the identified problem so that it provides them with an opportunity to come up with innovative remedial measures that can help better the situation.

Research Facilities

Conscious efforts are made to provide faculty members and students with resources that will assist them in their research work. Teachers and students are provided with adequate Library facilities that serve as the center and coordinating agency for all material used in the college. The members are also provided with well-equipped Computer Lab along with Wi-Fi facility that is open to them and can be availed with flexibility.
