Annual gender sensitization action plan, Women's empowerment and gender equality are a few of the primary concerns at the college. Majority of the students and faculty of the college are women. The college promotes equity among genders within the institute and outside it.
OBJECTIVES:
To promote inclusiveness, tolerance, harmony and women’s empowerment among the students and staff.
To conduct activities like Blood donation camp, female foeticide, dealing with COVID-19 pandemic, etc in order to give back to the society
To promote activities related to health, nutrition, self-defence and entrepreneurship among the female students.
To conduct workshops related to cybercrime, safety and security in hotels and career enhancement for female students.
To provide professional counselling to the students.
To conduct workshops that promote diversity and gender-sensitive communication for students and staff alike.
To encourage Mentorship in college where the students can approach their mentors in matters of gender-related issues.
To conduct regular awareness-raising activities among students and staff
To have a student’s code of conduct that promotes gender parity at the governance level.
ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED:
Self defence techniques taught to the girl students
Grievance cell with female staff members is present in the college.
A professional female counsellor is present in the college to address the problems and issues of female students.
CCTV cameras are installed in the college for safety and security of girl students.
Extension lectures on Women Empowerment, Career counselling, are organized.
